Monitor a Minecraft server status using Uptime Kuma


Have you ever wondered how to monitor the status of a Minecraft server? With Uptime Kuma, you can monitor/share whether a Minecraft server is up or not with ease!

Prerequisite

  • A Java Edition Minecraft server (Bedrock edition should work in similar ways)
  • An Uptime Kuma instance (version 1.20.0 or above)

Set up the monitor

  1. At the Uptime Kuma dashboard, click the Add New Monitor at the top left corner.

  2. Under Monitor Type, select GameDig.

  3. Enter a friendly name for the monitor under Friendly Name and choose Minecraft (2009) under Game.

  4. Enter the ip address or the domain name of the Minecraft server in Hostname and enter the port number below (the default port number of a Minecraft server is 25565).

There you go! You can now monitor the status of your Minecraft server at the Uptime Kuma dashboard.

Or you can share the status of your Minecraft server with your friends by creating and sharing a status page.
